About

The dynamism of the world around us comes to the forefront at Agora Gallery this March in two collective exhibitions. The show The Essence of Abstraction examines the nature of human understanding, stripping away the representational to get at the core emotions and concepts of a subject. This group of international artists comes together to create a show of personal interpretations of abstraction. The exhibit Mélange of Milieu takes the opposite approach. Focused on the world around them, this group of artists has devoted themselves to the details of the everyday, representing them from the realistic to the surreal. These intricate and interesting works are sure to make the viewer reexamine the outside world. Together, the shows play off each other: the representational versus the abstract, the internal versus external. This pair of shows is a must-see examination of humanity.

The exhibitions open on March 6th and run until March 26th, 2015. The opening reception, which will take place on Thursday, March 12th from 6-8 PM, will be open to the public.
