In this edition of a Multi-Storied City we explore history, migration and the ecological relationship one has with the land of our roots and the land we reside in. Through artist moving images and visual essays Theatrum Mundi invites you to explore three artists’ exploration into the earth, migration and identity. Featuring films from Asmaa Jama, Ama Josephine Budge and Morgan Senior. 

Programme

The Season of Burning Things 

Asmaa Jama is a Danish-born Somali poet and multidisciplinary artist, interested in ancestors, ghosts and diaspora lines. 

Putting The Cooker on Low

Ama Josephine Budge is a Speculative Writer, Artist, Curator and Pleasure Activist whose interdisciplinary practice navigates intimate explorations of race, art, ecology and Blackness.

The Skin of The Earth 

Morgan Senior is a writer and filmmaker based in London. Her art practice focuses on work, migration and the experience of journey. She is also an alumni of the Theatrum Mundi Cohort 2022.
