About

The Function Room presents A Man Called Burroughs: photographs by Harriet Crowder including unseen portraits of William S. Burroughs taken during a trip to Wales in 1960. Revealing the surprising location of an iconic portrait of the man that appeared on the cover of the 1965 LP Call Me Burroughs.

Catch the glassy-eyed, pin-pointed stare of its subject. In the second image, a cigarette stub in the left hand, pointed at the viewer.

Thursday 5 February 2015, from 7pm:  exhibition opening and Burroughs’ 101st birthday party!! With live radionics, broadcasts from the past and videos from the future by Louise Ashcroft, Dan R. Wilson, International Necronautical Society, Al & Al
