About
An exhibition by Sara Jane Redway immerses the spectator into a world where painted plants and animals are warped as they compete for space on a sea of clear polythene which wraps itself around the gallery walls terminating in a 6m high spiral.
The work began as an attempt to combine the artist’s visual experience of living in the continents of both Africa and Europe during her formative years. The artist hopes that embarking on work which combines these often opposing experiences will result in a first draft of a clearer view of her own identity.
