This poetic creation by Guillaume Bottazzi to be seen in the Marseille Prado district leads us to travel in an unreal universe. It feeds the passerby, making him dream.
About
For this year, the famous artist Guillaume Bottazzi invites us on a huge artistic journey with 26 works of art to be discovered in France as part of the 2021 European Heritage Days. The works presented can be found dotted throughout the country, from the north to the south of France: in Haut-de-France, Paris, Lyon, Marseille and as far as Mandelieu-la-Napoule near Cannes.
Guillaume Bottazzi has signed about 100 artworks for public spaces. This delicate and poetic fresco is located on Boulevard Edouard Herriot, in the Prado district of Marseille.
The work is created using glazes. Glazes are a succession of transparent layers that let the light penetrate in order to bring out softness and depth.
This work makes use of the sensory experience of the spectator. Thirty-three years ago, at the age of seventeen, the young painter went to Italy to learn painting and it was in Rome, in the Pope’s apartments in the Vatican, that he was deeply touched by a visit to the Fra Angelico Chapel.
