About
You’ll work in poetry or prose to develop characters and voices for the people in Bratby’s paintings, and then visit some of the artist’s favourite haunts in Hastings Old Town, so you can place these characters into the real-life settings he knew. We’ll also experiment with writing in the voice of Bratby. At the end of the workshop everyone’s writing will be combined together to form a collaborative, fictional account of the people and places the artist might have encountered on his final walk home.
Writer and arts educator, Wendy Ann Greenhalgh, will be on hand to help everyone develop their ideas and write their stories or poems.
