About
‘A Concise Example of Artistic Digression’ is a form-bending exhibition like no other, online for a limited time between 13th January and 18th February 2021. In this digital exhibition, peer inside a creative mind and witness the mundane spectacle of tangents and distraction, as they bounce from one artwork to another through abstract connections, connecting a chain between the Death of Socrates and a spoken word album by Anthony Joseph! In positioning this process as an exhibition, the visitor gains access to a plethora of inspiration and knowledge to explore and take away with them. However, we can do you one better.
At the end of the exhibition, you have the opportunity to create a piece of AI art that embodies the understandings and techniques you enjoyed from your visit within a single, honest frame. When the exhibition closes on the 18th of February, the website will transform into a deep purple void, filled with these AI paintings for visitors to go back to, find their own and see what other people might have gained from the experience.
‘A Concise Example of Artistic Digression’ odes the intimate relationship an artist of any medium has with their practice, both in research and application, so enjoy this special moment and then go off on your own digression.
