About
Kim Tong's practice consists of, sumptuous layered glazed oil paintings that combine figurative, symbolic and abstract elements, digital prints, figurative drawings and etchings.
Whilst at Goldsmiths Kim completed her PhD The Sur(real) Sublime (1997) which played with conventional structures of text, word and image with reference to the work of Louise Bourgeois, Eva Hesse, Helen Chadwick, Alison Wilding and contemporary British art of the 1990s.
Yvonne Wayling was born in London and studied Fine Art at Loughton College during the 70’s, where she was tutored by Bill Woodrow. Going on to major in Graphic Design, Yvonne graduated in 1984 as a fellow of the Society of Industrial Artists and Designers.
She has successfully worked in Oils, Acrylics and Mixed Media. Over the last six years she has been honing her impressive skills in spray paint and hand cut stencil work, producing a stunning aray of Paintings on many interesting surfaces.
