About

Portrait of Our Times is a collective that aims to showcase the work of emerging artists who use various photographic approaches to tell stories and present realities. This exhibition features the achievements of seven photojournalists and documentary photographers, who over the past years have explored, studied and have documented unique scenarios in their respective visual approaches. All artists have worked across the continent to highlight stories that represent the modern world that we live in.

This show strives to evoke conversation regarding diverse topics, therefore intriguing and generating curiosity among the visitors, providing a refreshing way of observing that which surrounds us. The exhibition layout aims to categorise and place the stories into sections concerned with housing in London, young adults' introspection, lifestyle, and myth & tradition in the 21st century.

The long term goal of Portrait of Our Times is to become an omni-accessible collective of artists, to generate an archive to gather and frame the complexity and diversity of this modern world; thus documenting our present to have an informed perspective going forward.
