Insecta Collective is a not-for-profit Art and Climate Action organisation based in Leicester, UK. More information about us and our members can be found on our website.
Our maiden voyage into the world of climate action is the Arts Council England funded project, The Celebration of Biodiversity. Following a series of free art and climate workshops in Leicester and Leicestershire, our Biodiversity Open Exhibition connects the local to the global, offering creative people around the world the opportunity to foster emotional connections with nature using the medium of art, to promote social and environmental change and to elicit deeper connections between humankind and the world around us.
This exhibition is open to all artists, of any age and ability. We hope to bring a diverse selection of thought-provoking art work to the global community by accepting submissions from people of all ages and backgrounds, from anywhere in the world. The only requirement is that work entered has a climate, nature or biodiversity theme. The exhibition will be in both virtual and physical forms. All artwork submitted will be considered for our virtual exhibition (accessed online via web browser, from anywhere in the world). Additionally, artists can choose whether they wish to be considered for the physical exhibition. Artwork accepted into our physical exhibition will be exhibited Upstairs at The Barley Mow, 149 Granby Street, Leicester, UK.
