A Call to Connection: Subreality explores the friction and displacement birthed in a person when met with constructs unlike their own. Ones that dehumanise and place definitions/confines on their social body. It explores the abstract prisons within an individual and the rebellion needed to exist outside of/dismantle these imposed structures and heal colonial wounds.

A group of artists that embody this energy are taking over the gallery space to build an oasis for alt, queer and bipoc individuals with an exhibition sheds light on the subrealities of the alternative (qpoc, the working class, the incarcarated and those on the diaspora). We aim to create a confrontational space of communion through collective sound, poetry workshops and gigs.

This is a space for re-imagining, authentic expression, self and collective actualisation, this is a space for humanisation, remembering and for untamed spirits to exist freely in a time where freedom is not granted to everyone. We invite you to define your own sub reality. Imagination is a weapon and the first step in actualisation.
