Performative Intervention by Filippos Tsitsopoulos
Kage where K for Kott® project
http://www.outoftheboxintermedia.org
About
A series of live performances by artist Filippos Tsitsopoulos filmed in public spaces and art venues showing aspects of the everyday life of the character Mr Kott, inspired by the life and writings of the renowned theatre theorist Jan Kott.
The artist employs fragments of Kott's oeuvre in juxtaposition with his own personal childhood memories, having grown up with major theatre practitioners as the son of an actor, so as to reinvent Kott's fictional life in London.
The performative interventions are taking place in collaboration with art institutes and venues such as : The Serpentine Gallery, Frieze London, Tate Modern, Toynbee Studios and the Jan Kott Our Contemporary: Contexts, Legacies New Perspectives Conference at Rose Theatre Kingston.
Performance and filming times :
Friday 30th of January at the Arts Bar & Cafè (Toynbee Studios) at 6.30 pm and at Studio 3, Toynbee Studios at 7 pm
