About

If you, like me, love all things birds, join us for this special festive display of artwork from York based artists Amy Rose Clyfan and Anna Cook.

Painter Amy Rose Clyfan is a contemporary artist living and working in York. Working predominantly in acrylic and watercolour, she paints from her beautiful attic studio and takes inspiration from aspects of daily life that intrigue and excite her. Amy focuses on creating still-life compositions which celebrate her love of pottery and plant-life, all the time maintaining an innocence and naivety in her approach to these oft overlooked objects.

'Life Stills' an exhibition opening in March 2016 will feature a larger body of work by this bright and enchanting artist.

Anna Cook is a shy but talented York-based artist working with paper-cuts. Her skill and patience with the medium is inspiring. Choosing ornithological subjects as her point of focus she brings life to these creatures through the process of layering intricately carved paper sheets one on top of the other. Lit-up box frames used to house these compositions add a functional, design element to her work, making it the perfect addition to the art and design (and bird!) lovers home.

Other bird-themes works will be available from printmakers Charlotte Farmer and John Dilnot, two much-admired artists who have previously shown work at Lotte Inch Gallery.
