About
54theGate is an arts and resource centre for people with learning disabilities based in Shepherds Bush, London. The Gate was set up around twenty years ago by Yarrow Housing to cater for the daytime needs of their tenants and anyone else who could make use of us in the West London area and beyond. Largely they're an arts centre but we see ourselves as a base where people can come and be free to be themselves and express that in a creative manner and we think there should be a Gate on every street corner, for everyone.
For EVERYTHING MUST GO, the Gate will be filling the Horse Hospital with new and archival works by service users, some of which will be for sale, some of which won’t be - come and look and buy and stick around for live performances at 5pm, with music from Duane (Mr aka Amazing), and more…
