Putting "The DISCO into DISCOURSE" & "Punk into Plaistow'
For our closing ART event #51RememberHer curated by Rebecca Feiner we are in celebratory mood, as multidisciplinary artist Rachael House brings her famous #FeministDisco to the Tower Gallery

Our closing ART event #51RememberHer of 100 female artists launched on #IWD2017 in a 5 storey church tower, curated by Rebecca Feiner we  invite muli disciplinary artist Rachael House's radical &  witty #FeministDisco -  as art concept. Disco yes- but not as you know it.

Embracing lo-fi and 'revisiting the past in order not to repeat it', House will spin vinyl from the turbulent years of 1976-1983 on her twin Dansette record players. The so-called second wave of feminism (punk and post punk) will be much in evidence, with feminist disco boiled sweets to enjoy, art to make, games to play and a six-foot banner proclaiming a call to arms:
"To be normal is not a healthy aspiration."
