About

Open Mind Art Space is pleased to present its 4th Annual Anniversary Exhibition, in celebration of the gallery’s 4-year anniversary. A one-night exhibition and reception will be held on Saturday, March 7th from 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Small and medium-sized, affordable artworks, prints and objects will be for sale on a first-come-first-serve basis. This year, 10% of sales from art prints and objects will be donated to the non-profit environmental organization, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). As this will be a one-night-only event, the gallery suggests arriving early to view available artworks and claim your favorite pieces before they sell out! Doors will open at 6:00 PM. Each year, Open Mind Art Space maintains a tradition of hosting an Annual Anniversary Exhibition to celebrate its anniversary and honor its artists who contributed to the gallery’s programming from 2016 to the present. For its 4th Annual Anniversary Exhibition, popular and new works by Open Mind artists will be featured, and works by newly selected artists will be introduced. Participating artists will include Charley Alexander, Matt Allison, Beth Bowen, Alexandra Chiou, Gioj DeMarco, Cathy Ellis, Ashley Hagen, Theresa Knopf, Chelsea Kosta, Christopher Kuhn, Alison Limtavemongkol, Vida Liu, Aline Mare, Ashley Mistriel, Alison Rash, Bryan Ricci, Kristen Riggle, Chris Riggs, Peter Sowinski, Bianca Turner, Matthew Usinowicz, Andre Yi, Jody Zellen and more. The exhibition will feature original paintings, drawings, and mixed media works. Artworks will be no more than 24” in size, varying in price from $400 and less. Art prints and objects will also be available for purchase at the event and Open Mind Art Space will be donating 10% of the sales of art prints and objects to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). Open Mind Art Space looks forward to continuing to showcase contemporary art from a diverse blend of talented emerging artists, and facilitating a curatorial process that allows its artists to create impactful work, while furthering its mission to inspire and challenge the local Los Angeles community by providing a comfortable, engaging space for reflection and dialogue. Open Mind also believes that art can be a powerful way to motivate positive change in people and the world as a whole. To show its support for non-profit organizations that reflect its values, Open Mind has chosen to benefit the NRDC for this year’s anniversary exhibition. The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a non-profit environmental organization that works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. The NRDC combine the power of more than three million members and online activists with the expertise of some 700 scientists, lawyers, and policy advocates across the globe to ensure the rights of all people to the air, the water, and the wild.
