Exhibition of prints by printmakers Sally MacIver, Georgie Finn, Miranda Chapman and Anne Townshend. 4PRINTmakers are a newly founded group of women artists who have come together to share work and practice in their debut exhibition at Elsey's Gallery in Bury St Edmunds. These emerging artists joined together as a group which has helped to inspire, encourage and motivate each individual. The women have different artistic backgrounds: ceramics, graphics, textiles, painting and community arts, but they have found common ground in printmaking. Each has developed a different style and between them they use a range of techniques including etching, linocut, screen printing and collage. It is specifically this diversity that inspired them to join forces and begin exhibiting together - that and the fact that they like to meet up for tea and cake!
