Ultra-modern sculptures involving recycled electronics, particularly circuit boards, all made into sprawling cityscapes
About
In the past few years I have been working to produce series of works best viewed in dark spaces. They all involve electronics and provide their own illumination. I have a love of the aesthetics of electronics, particularly circuitry which to me have always appeared to be a miniature-scale society, which is what I turn them into, adding LED lighting, a populace of tiny model people, and encasing the cityscape inside clear coffee tables adding functionality to the artwork. Along with projections and other electric sculptural innovations, the ‘The Electric Microcosm’ exhibition is a unique sensory experience.
