Ela Owczarek’s works are described as inward landscapes. The artist’s creative process involves meditation techniques which she herself calls a pictorial soul-searching”.
About
‘Building subtle colour contrasts, opposing the sense of form solidity, closing the central parts with framing are not only purely formal measures but also a strategy of developing artistic identity, where a dominating role seems to be played by technique raised to the level of artistic necessity.
A complementation of this approach are Owczarek’s graphic works, where she tries to extend the field of her quests’.
– Kazimierz Maria Łyszcz
