Learn how to manually shoot 35mm film, before developing it and printing beautiful analogue black & white photographs by hand in the darkroom at Nightlight Darkroom's new Salford studio
Learn how to manually shoot using a 35mm camera to expose black and white film (photographing in and around Nightlight Darkroom’s Salford home Artwork Atelier), before printing beautiful 10″ x 8″ resin coated prints by hand. The workshop will provide opportunities to learn analogue camera techniques and experiment with printing effects in the darkroom.
Nightlight Darkroom is a new facility at Artwork Atelier (Salford). Setup by artist Helen McGhie (MA RCA) in 2016, it holds 2x Durst and 1x DeVere enlargers for printing of 35mm/120/5×4 negatives, and access to both Black & White and Colour RA4 darkroom printing up to 20″ x 24″.
