3 Day Caricature Class

About

Tutor: Nicola Jennings Date: Wednesday 14th December - Friday 16th December (Classes run from 10am-5pm) Venue: Studio 2 and the National Portrait Gallery Price: £120 Students will be taken through a brief history of caricature, looking at its origins and at the different styles of its practitioners. We will observe and analyse not only the proportions of the face but also its expressions and movements, highlighting appropriate characteristics to arrive at an accurate description of personality. Students will draw from the life model and video in the studio to observe both everyday faces and famous personalities. Students will also spend a day studying the vast collection at the National Portrait Gallery caricaturing the great and the good. The Prince's Drawing School is part of The Prince's Charities, a group of not-for-profit organisations of which The Prince of Wales is President. We are one of only a few art schools in the world offering in-depth, quality tuition for those who wish to develop their observational drawing skills. All of our courses are taught by distinguished artists and teachers from leading institutions including The Royal Academy, The Royal College of Art and The Slade. Students of all levels of experience are welcome on all of our courses. Book this course at: www.princesdrawingschool.org or call 0207 613 8568
