This year's Raindance Film Festival includes the Arty strand: a cinematic canvas of diverse creative processes. Highlights include the UK Premiere of 'The Past is Always New, the Future is Always Nostalgic' (dir: Gen Iwama, Japan), am intimate documentary capturing Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama, aged 80, whose work trancends art, fashion and design. Another UK Premiere, 'The Dilemma of Desire' (dir: Maria Finitzo, USA) follows four women artists/activists who aim to shatter myths by celebrating the clitoris and female sexual pleasure. 'Uprooted - The Journey Of Jazz Dance' (dir: Khadifa Wong, USA) and 'Beyond Moving' (dir: Vikram Dasgupta, Canada) document different aspects of the performing arts. These and over 50 other film premieres are available to watch online for free all across the UK via the Raindance Player.
