The 24th Biennale of Sydney, titled Ten Thousand Suns, ignites its transformative power of art across six iconic Sydney locations.

This extraordinary exhibition showcases the visionary creations of leading artists from diverse corners of the globe, all within the hallowed halls of Sydney’s most iconic cultural institutions. Best of all, entry to this cultural extravaganza is free, making it an unmissable opportunity for art enthusiasts and curious minds alike.

Prepare to witness the rebirth of history as the heritage-listed White Bay Power Station, a relic of the early 20th century and once a bustling coal power station, opens its doors to the public for the first time in over a century. Ten Thousand Suns breathes new life into this architectural gem, transforming it into a canvas for contemporary expression.

As the sun sets on Sydney, see ‘Badu Gili: Celestial’, a radiant display illuminating the Eastern Bennelong Sails of the Sydney Opera House. This nightly projection, throughout 2024, offers a magical experience that seamlessly blends art with the city’s skyline, inviting you to explore the rich storylines of First Nations’ ancient celestial navigation practices.

Immerse yourself in the richness of Sydney’s art culture with a plethora of offerings, including artist talks, live music, panels, performances, and workshop. Our Family Days cater to all ages, providing a day filled with engaging programming for the young ones. For those seeking an atmospheric evening, Art After Dark at White Bay Power Station every Wednesday promises an alluring ambiance amidst captivating artworks.
