Please join us for the launch of The Company with their first public performance, 2030. Looking at the definition of a company and the dynamics within a choreographed structure, this performance presents a new body of work by The Company, a collaboration between artists Harriet Middleton Baker and Rachael Davies.
Using Plexal, HereEast as a site, 2030 sets to question our individual behaviour within a wider social body; the organisation of both public and private space and the complex systems of regulation we are faced with in an automated, fully integrated, high production society.
2030 is a means to an end. Collaborative and non-hierarchal, The Company aims to set a precedent for a new way of moving and communicating.
The Company is an artist-led project by Harriet Middleton-Baker and Rachael Davies. Resident choreographers are invited to work alongside company dancers: Funmi Afuwape, Ludivia Garcia, Annie Garyga & Val Nobbs.
Current resident choreographers: Lydia Buckler & Madison Capel-Bird of SISTA SISTA.
