About
The exhibition will be hosted virtually on Artsy, and Joe Ward's work will also be on view in our Main Gallery by appointment, November 11-22, 2020.
Halle Dillon writes "Exploring what I see brings me closer to a more authentic, perceptive consciousness. By taking the time to look closely, and observe my experience, I collect special moments that help me understand my relationships with time, place and the people around me. I have been painting familiar subjects of life with my parents in my childhood home on Lake Erie during quarantine. Regardless of the initial motif, I hope that each painting eventually takes on a life of its own, reflecting my willingness to look past what is not essential for the sake of aesthetic wholeness."
Joe Ward writes "I create art to visually represent tensions concerning issues of joy. My work involves an ongoing search for ways to express narratives through drawing, painting, and sculpture."
