About
An emerging photographer based in London, Michael’s talent for picture making developed through his passion for travel, visiting over 60 countries in the last 10 years, Michael has established a signature approach to urban exploration and street photography.
Whilst exploring the world, one constant notion Michael has identified is the want to belong. Discovering where people laugh, smile, cry and share with one another. Our human presence has an impact, not only on the people close to us but the homes we inhabit. Michale’s work, impart, investigates what happens when the physical self no longer occupies a space and the residue of lives lived and left are all that remain, slowly reclaimed by the land.
3.14 π, explores the shared emotions of daily life through captivating, candid street photography, juxtaposed by the disregarded, abandoned homes which echo former lives. Within his work, Michael binds the repetition of existence with the fragility of humanity.
3.14 π opens on the 6th October at 1:30 pm in The Old Print Works, Upper Gallery, benefitting from the factories classic, industrial architecture and vast, undisturbed natural light. Surrounded by creative organisations, projects and in conjunction with ‘Connection’ by Thomas Young in the neighbouring Ort Gallery. Free entry and drinks.
