The Way Out is a fictional disability terrorist organisation that has been fighting for the rights of disabled people whilst adding to their number by randomly mail-bombing the public.
After their latest bout of mail-bombs and communiqués the Way Out have been hunted by the authorities. Now cornered in their bunker by a police stake-out, there seems to be no way out... The hours loom in as the siege intensifies, dysfunction and schism sets in. Outside, in the real world, the revolution is being televised...
15mm films leads Disability politics with their irreverent, can-do approach to disability. This latest work takes the form of seven trailers for a fictional film.
The Way Out is a Beaconsfield commission supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Arts & Humanities Research Council.
