Cost of entry

The cost is $38 for the first entry, and just $16 for each additional entry. Artists are welcome to enter as many paintings as they like, in as many categories as they like. There are 19 categories in all.

The PleinAir Salon Art Competition is an online competition consisting of 12 monthly cycles and Annual Competitions with $50,000 in CASH prizes awarded annually.

About

The PleinAir Salon Art Competition is an online art competition for traditional painting mediums, and is open to all artists over the age of 18. The PleinAir Salon awards $50,000 in ALL cash prizes each year. It consists of 12 monthly cycles with 23 winners, and those winners are all included in the Annual Competition awarded in May. There is a total of $22,000 awarded at the Annual Competition, including the $15,000 Grand Prize. That winner will also have their winning painting featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 representational art magazine at Barnes & Noble. (This is an online ONLY competition, there is NO exhibition)
