The installation and performance artist Bartholl explores and reflects on the ever more widespread phenomenon of digitalization.
Anonymity, open source and hacking are core catchwords of the early internet generation. The artist’s three sculptures in Münster are based on thermoelectric devices that transform fire—mankind’s earliest means of communication—directly into electrical energy.
