About

On May 13th Maciej Urbanek is having an art one-night stand with Jonathan Trayte.
It will be the first in a series of 10 one-to-one shows. They will occur every week for ten weeks in his new space in Leyton/Clapton in East London. The following artists will be exhibiting:

13 May- Jonathan Trayte
20 May- Caroline Abbotts
27 May- Michael Petry
03 June- Matthew Coombes
10 June- Jessie Flood-Paddock
17 June- Peter Donaldson
24 June- Martina Schmuecker
02 July- Marvin Gaye Chetwynd
08 July- Line Kallmayer
15 July- Rachael Champion

In each two-person show, they will confront and frame their art practices, by selecting recent works that complement, contrast or otherwise create dialogues between distinct working methods, styles and themes. This way of exhibiting departs from the conventions of the solo and group show, towards a playful fooling around but also towards rigorous, and exciting means of provoking conversation about contemporary art.

The exhibitions will start with an evening of drinks and socializing between 6pm and 9pm on set dates. Proudly sponsored by Brother Pear Cider.
