Open Call for the exhibition "Matrix-Ost"

Inspired by the critical discourse surrounding Eurocentrism and the unique cultural identity of Eastern Europe, ""Matrix-Ost"" aims to recontextualize the visual art of Eastern Europe within a broader historical and political framework. The exhibition will serve as a platform for dialogue, reflection, and rediscovery of the multifaceted artistic traditions that emerged from the Eastern Bloc.

This project seeks to challenge such narratives by highlighting the diversity and richness of Eastern European art, often overshadowed by the homogenizing forces of post-1989 cultural integration.

Eligibility:

• Artistic quality and execution.
• Cohesion between concept and artistic expression.
• Thematic alignment with the exhibition’s focus on Eastern European identity.
• Technical feasibility of an artwork
