OPEN CALL : Equiano Family Window Commission

The Equiano Family Project at St Andrew’s Church, Chesterton, Cambridge, are seeking an artist to design a new Stained Glass Window to commemorate the celebrated author and abolitionist Olaudah Equiano (1745-1797) and his family.

The Equiano Family Project is an arts, education and cultural initiative based at St Andrew’s Church, designed to promote awareness and reflection on the Equiano family story.

This is an exciting artistic opportunity to engage with all that the Equiano family story embodies, and contributes to British and Black transatlantic history.

Eligibility: UK-based artists

What you get: A commissioned fee. If an artist creating design, then collaborating with a stained glass workshop to make and install: £6,000. If a stained glass artist generating a design, then making plus installation incl. materials: £30,000 + VAT.
