MAKE Southwest Biennial: Call for emerging artists, makers & designers in the Southwest

Updated: 15 May 2024

Making It is MAKE Southwest’s biennial showcase for emerging artists, makers, and designers in the Southwest, celebrating innovation, diversity, and collaboration in craft. Up to 20 emerging talents will exhibit in MAKE Southwest’s Jubilee Gallery, and participate in an engaging development programme with public events. MAKE Southwest and its partners invite applicants from all backgrounds, groups, and levels of education or training. We aspire to remove access barriers, and strongly encourage applications from individuals currently underrepresented in the creative and cultural sectors.

Eligibility: Emerging artists, designers, and makers based in the Southwest, who have graduated, qualified as an apprentice, or are self-taught and set up their practice in the last five years.

What you get: Making It 2025 exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase their work to a new audience of dedicated craft and design lovers in our main gallery at MAKE Southwest. Exhibitors will be invited to attend a series of funded CPD and networking sessions specifically tailored to help emerging makers and new businesses. There will also be prizes and opportunities awarded by leading organisations and people during the show.

Deadline 25 June 2024
