Artist in Residence
Solent Seascape Artist Residency
Updated: 07 November 2024
The Solent Seascape Project is looking for an artist in residence, working in any medium, to help communicate the work of the project. If you’re local to the Solent or have a strong connection to the area, and want to work alongside the community to co-create a piece celebrating how we all connect to our vibrant seascape, we'd love to hear from you. To help fund the residency, the Endangered Landscapes & Seascapes Programme has kindly provided a grant of £4,000, starting in spring 2025.
Eligibility: We welcome proposals from artists who are Solent-based or have strong connections to the Solent, passionate about the Solent and working within the seascape, willing to collaborate with local communities to co- produce artworks, over 21 and have demonstrable experience of arts practice in a related area.
What you get: A grant of £4000 is available. The work will be promoted via the Solent Seascape Project which is a partnership of 10 organisations including Blue Marine Foundation, Portsmouth University, Project Seagrass, the RSPB and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
