Sarabande Studio Residency Programme 2024-2025

Sarabande, founded by Lee Alexander McQueen CBE, is designed to foster the next generation of creative talent. Their studios are not just a space but a thriving community that promotes collaboration and growth. Sarabande is dedicated to supporting uniquely visionary artists by offering them a platform and the necessary resources to bring their creativity to the public's attention.


  • Applicants must be at a pivotal point in their creative careers.
  • Open to sculptors, fashion designers, jewellers, textile designers, painters, performance artists, silversmiths, ceramicists, filmmakers, animators, photographers, digital designers, and visual artists.
  • Applicants must have a UK address and the right to work in the UK as the foundation does not sponsor visas.
  • Previous applicants are welcome to reapply.

What You Get

  • Subsidised studio space ranging from 50 sq. ft to 350 sq. ft, at a cost of £1 per sq. ft per month.
  • Inclusions cover all utilities, access to communal spaces and equipment, and free professional services including business mentoring, accounting, legal support, and marketing.
  • Opportunities for networking and promotion through interactions with journalists, curators, collectors, and various influential professionals in the arts.


  • Applications for the residency open on June 29th and close on August 1st.
  • Interviews begin post-application closing, with successful candidates being notified by October 1st.
  • New artists will move into their studios on November 11th.
