Artist in Residence
Residency with Swiss Church in London
Updated: 08 March 2023
The Swiss Church in London's Covent Garden is seeking artists or curators for its 2023 Artist-in-Residence open call. The residency runs from August to October 2023, and successful applicants will be required to work at the Swiss Church in London for a minimum of two days per week. While there is no expectation to produce a final piece of work, there is the possibility for the successful applicant to put on an exhibition from 21 - 24 September 2023. They must also host a minimum of one open studio for the Swiss Church community and give an informal talk about their practice at an Art Alumni event on the afternoon of 5th July 2023.
Eligibility: Artists, arts collectives, arts organisations or curators from all artistic disciplines based in the UK are encouraged to apply. The residency is open to everyone of all backgrounds, faiths, genders and sexualities. Applicants must currently have the right to live and work in the UK.
What you get: The chosen applicant(s) for the residency will receive a stipend of £1,500 to support their project. They will have opportunities for mentoring and will be required to attend monthly studio meetings with members of the Swiss Church Art Committee.
