Artist in Residence
Urban Crafts Foundation Open Call
Updated: 14 June 2022
This is a call out for two Artists in Residence from 19 to 28 September, in our metalsmithing workshop in Essex. During the residency, the successful applicants will receive comprehensive tuition in blacksmithing and coppersmithing and then use the techniques they have learned to practice, experiment, and push the boundaries of traditional metalworking. There is no expectation for a specific creative outcome. Whilst sculptures or other artwork could be made during the time, this is not a requirement.
Eligibility: UK based artists.
What you get: You will receive tuition in blacksmithing and coppersmithing and a stipend of £750.
