Commission of public mural at Manchester College & UCEN Manchester East Campus
Updated: 24 June 2021
The Manchester College & UCEN Manchester is inviting expressions of interest from artists with previous experience of painting outdoor work / mural works; they would like to create a public artwork on their East Campus.
The purpose of the mural is to create a ‘visual time capsule’ that encapsulates the feelings, fears and hopes for the future of our students and colleagues throughout the pandemic. Although the mural will be a visual representation of the challenges of the pandemic, the predominant theme will be that of hope, opportunity and aspiration.
We are looking for a final artwork that reflects themes of positivity and are uplifting for future students; without a literal or figurative depiction of the pandemic or lockdown - we encourage the use of text, language or poetic interpretations to express the narrative.
Eligibility: Experienced Mural/Outdoor artist living in the North West
What you get: £6,150.00 fee
