Youmanity: The Friendship Screenshot Competition

In 2020, the world went into lockdown. A situation of unparalleled proportions in which friends became our lifeline, developing important emotional connections. We learned that social distance does not have to mean emotional isolation. Video calls have now become part of our lives, helping us through crises of all kinds. According to the World Health Organisation, one person takes their own life every 40 seconds. Isolation is a leading reason for suicide. Friendship, togetherness, and connection, therefore, are as vital as ever.

The Friend-Ship Screenshot Competition is here to celebrate family and friends by making a video call. Whether you connect with one or more people, take a screenshot from your smartphone, tablet or computer. Capture the treasured connection between you and the people you call. The most original and fun screenshots will be showcased online in February 2021. ​The winner will be awarded a £500 cash prize.
