Artist in Residence
Free Living Waterscapes Summer School
Updated: 26 July 2021
A network of actors across the province of Kortrijk came together to invite young thinkers and makers to explore the future of urban waterscapes.
25 selected participants will get the chance to immerse themselves in the territory during a one week free educational opportunity. Partnering up with local organisations, they will have the chance to understand territorial challenges emerging from the climate change crisis in Kortrijk. They will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team to define possible interventions and formalise the processes needed to address a future in constant state of emergency.
The summer school participants will be inspired by the keynotes of experts from various fields: design, art, architecture, environmentalism, and more. The results of the summer school will be exhibited after the summer school at Bolwerk and they will tour around the art and design festivals of the region.
