Exhibition Opportunity
2021 HBI Artist Program
Updated: 16 July 2020
The 2021 HBI Artist Program seeks proposals for new or existing work that can prominently occupy a digital / online / remote format, including innovative forms of presentation and implementations that allow remote audience participation. Proposals must relate to HBI’s mission of developing fresh ideas about Jews and gender, and we invite submissions that emphasize the experiences of Jews of color.
The 2021 HBI Artist Program provides an artist the opportunity to publish a printed exhibition catalog and have an online solo exhibition for twelve weeks under the auspices of the Kniznick Gallery at Brandeis University. The selected artist is awarded a $2000 exhibition stipend and a $500 honorarium to produce two virtual public programs during the exhibition. The online exhibition and public programs will run from March–June 2021.
