Artist in Residence
Building networks for a sustainable future - artist residency with UK Power Networks
Updated: 12 December 2019
We're looking for an artist with an interest in sustainability, climate change and social justice to take part in a residency with UK Power Networks (UKPN). UKPN is an electricity network operator delivering electricity to homes and businesses across London and Southern England. They play a crucial role in facilitating renewable electricity, supporting vulnerable people, social mobility and regenerating local neighbourhoods.
The artist will have a space to work in an operational site, with access to staff and a stipend to cover materials and travel. They will have an opportunity to learn about sustainable energy, exchange ideas with a community committed to innovation and sustainability and create an exhibition of artworks to raise awareness of environmental and social issues faced today.
