Updated: 22 August 2019
Since 1993, A.I.R. Gallery has supported underrepresented and emerging female artists through its Fellowship Program. Six artists awarded the A.I.R. Fellowship will receive a solo exhibition sponsored in full by the gallery, as well as development workshops with a professional in the field, a one-on-one studio visit with one of the review panelists, an artist-mentor at A.I.R. Gallery to work with throughout the program, and much more.
This curated Fellowship Program is designed to encourage new artistic practices. The 2020-21 Fellowship Panelists are Gina Beavers, artist, whose solo exhibition is currently on view at MoMA PS1; Monica de la Torre, contributing editor to BOMB Magazine and professor at Brooklyn College; Nicole Russo, owner and director of Chapter NY.
