Call for Writers
Jerwood Arts: Writer in Residence
Updated: 26 September 2019
Two paid developmental opportunities for outstanding early-career arts writers including a £1500 fee and access to a £500 fund for self-directed professional development activity. Writers are tasked with responding to Jerwood Arts’ programme of exhibitions and events in London with the aim of opening up wider debate around the enquiries and themes explored.
Each residency is six months long and runs across two exhibitions. Writers are supported by the Jerwood Arts team and there is an additional fund to support travel for writers based outside of London. The newly added development fund element can be used for activity to help strengthen your writing practice, such as mentoring, training programmes, networking, research and/or attendance at appropriate events and conferences.
