William Morris Gallery - Artist in Residency 2018-19
Updated: 21 September 2018
The William Morris Gallery is inviting applicants for its 2018-19 Artist in Residency programme. This is an opportunity for an artist to immerse themselves in the Gallery's world-class collection for three months. Now in its sixth year, the programme is funded by Arts Council England. In 2019, Waltham Forest will be the first ever London Borough of Culture; the resident artist will be part of a dynamic arts programme celebrating the cultural life of Waltham Forest. The opportunity is aimed at emerging or mid-career visual artists (living in Waltham Forest or neighbouring boroughs) working in any medium or discipline and for proposals which approach Morris and his legacy in new ways. The residency awards an artist’s fee of £3000 plus a budget for events and/or materials.
