Exhibition Opportunity
Open Call "Through the eyes of a refugee in Scotland"
Updated: 12 April 2018
Colours is a social awareness project aimed at representing refugee resettlement stories through art. Our objective is to create a space to reflect on the global causes and impacts of the refugee crisis and the particular experience of relocation and integration of refugees in Scotland. We are planning on curating 20 to 40 artworks in Edinburgh to explore the stories, views, emotions and ambitions of refugees living in Scotland. Artists may choose to work with our primary research findings, based on face-to-face interviews with refugees resettling in Edinburgh. Any media is accepted, including video and performance art. The sellable artworks will be auctioned through a silent auction and any money collected will be handed over to local charities dedicated to help Refugees.
