Art by Translation - research opportunity for artists and curators

Art by Translation is open to young artists and curators seeking to further their research through a postgraduate program dedicated to a specific theme. The first 3 year theme is: Translation in the arts. Applications are now accepted for the period March 2017–March 2018 (extensible depending on projects). 4 selected candidates will benefit from travel and production budget. A contract will be signed with the institution. Housing will be covered when possible but not in all locations.

The selected candidates will participate in the program’s work sessions (one to two weeks each), and exhibitions, produce works and present their work in various contexts. All workshops, guest lectures and costs related to other curricular activities are covered by Art by Translation. There are no tuition fees. The applicants must have an MA degree from a university and/or art school (5 years or equivalent). All candidates should speak English and French is a plus.
