The relationship between art and text is rich and varied – from Rene Magritte to Jasper Johns, Jenny Holzer to Martin Creed – the decision to use text in art is a powerful and often provocative choice. There are endless possibilities between a visual art practice and writing, text and words!

44AD artspace accepts submissions of art works to be exhibited in February 2017. All media encouraged including video, performance, installation, prints, painting, books, new media and sculpture. There is no fee to submit work but there will be a gallery hanging fee for each work accepted into the show (first work £15, each additional work £5 each).
