About

Duncan Campbell's 'Make it new John' tells the story of car-maker John De Lorean, and his revolutionary ‘gull-wing' DMC12, a model that was intended to kick-start a new era of manufacturing (and industrial/social relations) in Seventies Northern Ireland, but which, after its failure, is now best remembered as the time-travelling poster-vehicle for the movie, 'Back to the Future'. Programmed to accompany the exhibition ‘Science Fiction: New Death', this special screening at FACT of Make it new John will be followed by an in-conversation between the artist and Film and Video Umbrella Director, Steven Bode. This event forms part of Film and Video Umbrella's anniversary programme, 25 Frames. Thursday 24 April, 7pm Free, booking required.
