As part of the programme of events around his Odysseys exhibition, David Blandy will be giving a gallery talk about the exhibition and his work.
Exploring the myriad ways that contemporary culture pervades our identities, Blandy explores how we create ourselves using the very media that we soak up in our daily exposure to it, through the TV and films we watch and games we play.
Blandy’s work has gained international reputation with exhibitions at the ICA, London, Platform China Project Space, Beijing, Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, Germany and BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead. This talk is an excellent opportunity to see and hear more about the ideas and inspirations behind his artwork.
